Flyers forward Scott Hartnell and Flyers Director of Player Development Ian Laperriere will appear in Judd Apatow's "This Is 40", coming to theatres December 21st.
Via Philly.com: "Hartnell, teammate Matt Carle and former teammates James van Riemsdyk and Ian Laperrière spent a day in Hollywood in August 2011 filming a bar scene with Megan Fox and Leslie Mann. In the film, which opens Dec. 21, Hartnell and Laperrière can be seen dancing with Fox and Mann, and playing with Laperrière's false teeth.
The guys were cast after a Flyers official learned that Apatow, whose films include "Superbad," "Knocked Up" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," was looking for a hockey player with fake teeth.
Laperrière told us last year that he put off dental surgery in order to film the scene, in which he was happy to make a fool of himself. He said Hartnell was a much better dancer than he was."
