The Wayne Train has been derailed. Flyers GM Paul Holmgren announced during the first intermission of Hurricanes Flyers that Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds has a concussion.
Simmonds suffered the concussion from a hit by Capitals defenseman John Erskine yesterday. Erskine was suspended for three games by the NHL today.
Holmgren said there is no timetable for a return yet.
