2015 Flyers Development Camp gets underway next week.

There’s three prospect invitees this year:

  • 18 year old Brett McKenzie (C): 32 points (11 G, 21 A) in 68 games with the North Bay Battalion (OHL)
  • 22 year old Casey Nelson (D): 33 points (7 G, 26 A) in 40 games with Minnesota State University, Mankato (WCHA)
  • 19 year old Luke Philp (C): 82 points (30 G, 52 A) in 71 games with the Kootenay Ice (WHL)

Also included is forward Pavel Padakin, who was signed to an AHL contract even though it wasn’t announced: 54 points (26 G, 28 A) in 69 games with the Regina Pats (WHL)

Guys like Nick Cousins and Petr Straka aren’t on the list of campers, they’re on the last year of their entry level contracts.

Scott Laughton will attend for the fourth year in a row after playing in 31 NHL games last season.

Both late round Russians, Mikhail Vorobyov and Ivan Fedotov, are the only 2015 draft picks that won’t be there.

Prospect camp starts July 7th, full schedule in the link from the Flyers’ tweet.

The Trial on the Isle will be Wednesday, July 8th.

The camp concludes with a three on three competition from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM on Sunday, July 12th.

Good luck to our team’s future shitting the beach.
