Brian Elliott is back in the cage.
The veteran netminder hasn’t played since Feb. 10 after suffering an injury during a shootout victory over Arizona. Elliott underwent core-muscle surgery and is slated to make his return in Game 81 against the Hurricanes.

Elliott posted a 21-11-7 record with a 2.72 GAA and .908 save percentage before suffering the injury, but did turn away 27 of 28 shots in a win over the Hurricanes two months ago.
The Flyers went 13-7-5 in Elliott’s absence, relying on a trio of Petr Mrazek, Michal Neuvirth and Alex Lyon over that span. The Flyers enter Thursday with a magic number of three points to clinch a playoff spot.
