Arguably the best goaltending prospect in the world is headed to the AHL.
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have added goaltender Carter Hart from the Everett Silvertips of the WHL.
The Phantoms are currently trailing the Toronto Marlies 2-0 in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals series. The series now shifts to PPL Center in downtown Allentown for Games 3, 4 and 5. Game 3 is this Wednesday, May 23 at 7:05 p.m
Hart is coming off a sensational season with Everett in which he was awarded the Four Broncos Trophy (WHL MVP) and the Del Wilson Trophy (WHL Top Goaltender) after recording a .947 save percentage , 1.60 GAA and seven shutouts in 41 appearances with the Silvertips.
Hart was a second-round selection (#48 overall) by Philadelphia in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and is regarded as the future of Flyers goaltending.
The 19-year-old netminder is 116-46-22 all-time with Everett over the last four seasons, recording 26 shutouts, a 2.01 GAA and .927 save percentage in the process.
