Claude Giroux’s resurgent bounce-back season just keeps getting better.

The Flyers’ captain was named the NHL’s first star for the week ending Feb. 11. Johnny Gaudreau of the Calgary Flames was named second star, while Devan Dubnyk of the Minnesota Wild was named third star.

Giroux, who is on pace to top 90 points this season, helped the Flyers go a perfect 4-0-0 this past week, posting three goals and six points to propel the Flyers to third place in the Metropolitan Division standings.

The Ontario native racked up three points against the Montreal Canadiens in a 5-3 victory Tuesday before scoring a power-play goal in the next game against the Coyotes. Giroux extended his point streak to three games when he scored for the third straight game and had an assist in Philadelphia’s first visit to Vegas on Sunday.

Giroux’s 18 goals and 64 points through 56 games are both more than he had in 82 games all of last season.
