Dustin Tokarski makes unbelievable glove save for Phantoms

You might not be too familiar with Dustin Tokarski.

The Flyers acquired the 28-year-old goaltender from the Anaheim Ducks earlier this month for future considerations.

He’s been playing for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL, where he’s posted a solid .929 save percentage in two appearances.

Tokarski got on the map Friday evening with a spectacular diving glove save against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Alex Lyon is the starter for the Flyers’ AHL club, but that sprawling glove save is sure to raise some eyebrows in the Flyers community.

Tokarski was the fifth round selection of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, but has failed to stick at the NHL level in short stints with Tampa Bay, Montreal and Anaheim.

It will be interesting to see what this highlight-reel save does for his confidence moving forward.
