Flyers add another 2nd round pick in 2016

The Chicago Blackhawks came through for the Flyers, as they reached the Stanley Cup Final with a 5-3 victory against the Ducks in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals.

The Blackhawks defeated Nashville in six and swept Minnesota beforehand. Kimmo Timonen played in 15 straight games during the playoff run prior to being scratched for Games 6 and 7.

Philly received a 2015 2nd round pick and a conditional 4th (now the 2nd in 2016) in the deal made February 27th.

The Flyers fleeced Chicago in the trade, but I doubt they’ll care if the Hawks win their third Stanley Cup (2010, 2013) in six years against Braydon Coburn and the Lightning.

Hopefully Timonen will see the ice in the final. The Blackhawks would probably petition to the league to have his name on the Stanley Cup anyway if they win.
