Flyers complete this comeback, defeat Carolina 6-3

Down 2-0 early in the second period, the Flyers roared back to snap their three game losing streak.

Brandon Manning got the ball rolling when he jumped onto the ice after a shift change, caught a Jakub Voracek cross ice pass, and proceeded to undress Eddie Lack in net.

Less than three minutes later, Ivan Provorov’s one timer from Travis Konecny was tipped home by Voracek, his first of two on the night.

The script was re-written with Matt Read replacing Jake as he tipped home a Provorov point shot for the Flyers’ go ahead goal. The goal was Read’s 5th in five games, which temporarily had him tied for the top spot in the NHL.

A long awaited Shayne Gostisbehere goal kept the second period bonanza going as he grabbed his first of the season.

The Canes would get one back to bring it to 4-3 Flyers before the Wayne Train put it out of reach with a powerplay goal at the 11:50 mark of the third. Wayne Simmonds joined Matt Read in the four game goal streak club.

Jake Voracek capped off a strong night with an insurance goal on a delayed penalty with less than three minutes to go in the game.
