These aren’t fun times if you’re a Philadelphia Flyers fan.

With seven straight losses, the negativity has piled up and there doesn’t currently seem like there’s much to be optimistic about.

18-year-old forward prospect Matthew Strome changed that Saturday evening.

The Hamilton Bulldogs’ forward showcased some incredible skill by scoring a lacrosse-style goal in a game against Ottawa.

Strome scored twice on the night and extended his point streak to eight games in the process.

Strome was selected by the Flyers 106th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. As of right now, he may be best known for who his brothers are: Ryan Strome of the Edmonton Oilers and Dylan Strome of the Arizona Coyotes.

The slick youngster has the ability and creativity to deke defenders. Strome also possesses a very lethal shot and scored 34 goals last season. He’s having another strong campaign this time around with 13 goals and 23 points through 23 games.

Just enjoy it.
