It only took till five days before the date of the arbitration hearing.

The Flyers have extended Michael Del Zotto for two years, with a $3.875 million cap hit.

Del Zotto received a chance at revival in Philly after it was announced Kimmo Timonen would miss most of the 2014-2015 season, signing a one year $1.3 million deal.

MDZ had 32 points (10 G, 22 A) in 64 games, including four game winning goals down the stretch run.

Streit, Schultz, and Del Zotto are under contract for two more years, right around the time the fab five defensive prospects should be ready.

The Flyers have about $583,000 in cap space left, wouldn’t be surprised if Hextall tries to move someone else.
