He’s finally here.
The Flyers recalled 21-year-old winger Oskar Lindblom from the AHL Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Monday evening. They’ve also activated goaltender Anthony Stolarz from Injured, Non-Roster and loaned him to Lehigh Valley.
Lindblom will be available for Tuesday’s game vs. Montreal and could make his NHL debut. He’ll be wearing #54.
The Swedish sniper is regarded as one of the best offensive prospects in the Flyers system, posting 16 goals and 34 points in 54 games with Lehigh Valley this season. Lindblom is riding a three-game goal streak and has points in four of his last five contests. He also represented the Phantoms in the AHL All-Star Classic in January.
Stolarz joins the Phantoms after missing the entire season with a knee injury. The 24-year-old posted a 18-9-0 record with the Phantoms last season. He also appeared in seven games for the Flyers in 2016-17, recording an impressive 2-1-1 record with a 2.07 GAA and .928 save percentage.
The transactions come with current injuries to goaltenders Brian Elliott and Michal Neuvirth. The Flyers did not have any update on Neuvirth, who left Sunday’s game with a lower-body injury.
More roster moves should come Tuesday.
