Development Camp is upon us.
The Flyers have released its development camp schedule and roster. The camp gets underway Thursday June 28 at Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey, and runs through July 2. The on-ice sessions are open to the public.
Unlike previous years, the Flyers aren’t inviting any players outside the organization to participate. The roster is highlighted by elite prospects Morgan Frost and Carter Hart.
Camp begins Wednesday with the Trial on the Isle in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. There will be a hockey clinic at Stone Harbor Elementary School (12:30 p.m.), autograph session (1:15 p.m.) and beach volleyball tourney (3:30 p.m.).
The goalies will take the ice for two sessions on Thursday: 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3;45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The skaters will be on the ice at 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday will operate with a similar schedule with different groups of skaters taking the ice for morning practice sessions that start at 9:15 and 10:45 and afternoon sessions that start at 5:30 and 5:45. Goaltenders are scheduled at 8:00, 9:30, 12:45 and 2:00 on Friday and Saturday, and at 9:15 and 10:45 on Sunday.
