Flyers send Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Philippe Myers down to the Phantoms

The Flyers have sent Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Philippe Myers down to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL.

Myers appeared in five of the six preseason games for the Flyers, averaging over 20 minutes of ice time. The two-way rearguard had a chance to make the roster this preseason due to his impressive play in the AHL last season and an injury to Andrew MacDonald. Myers looked great at the start of training camp, but struggled in the last few preseason games and failed to secure a spot. The 21-year-old recorded five goals and 21 points in 50 games in his first professional season with the Phantoms last year.

Aube-Kubel appeared in four of the Flyers six preseason games, recording three shots on goal while averaging 13:05 of ice time. The 22-year-old was was a candidate for a fourth-line spot, but failed to stand out among other candidates for a bottom-six role this season.Aube-Kubel is entering his third season with the Phantoms after recording 18 goals and 46 points in 72 games last season.

The Flyers Training Camp roster is now at 33 players.
