The Flyers announced today that they’ve signed forward David Kase to an entry level contract.
Kase was the Flyers’ 128th overall selection in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
The 21-year-old Czech forward is coming off his first season in Sweden’s top pro league (SHL) after spending the previous two season in the Czech Pro League. Kase recorded nine goals and 23 points in 44 games in his debut SHL campaign with Mora IK. He also added three points (two goals) in five playoff games.
The hard-working forward will likely spend most of the 2018-19 season in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, but he could develop into a solid bottom-six contributor for the Flyers in the future.
