Ron Hextall has added his second KHL player in as many days with the signing of forward Aaron Palushaj (25).
Palushaj had 21 points (7 G, 14 A) in 53 KHL games last season with Zagreb Medvescak and Yekaterinburg Automobilist.
The American contributed 58 points (22 G, 36 A) in 68 AHL games with the Charlotte Checkers during 2014.
Aaron Palushaj has had cups of coffee in the show appearing in 68 NHL games (3 G, 11 A, 14 PTS) with the Canadiens, Avalanche, and Hurricanes.
He also fits the new #culture with speed to burn.
Elite Prospects: Palushaj is a fast, speedy winger. Forechecks well and owns pretty good hands. Also has solid hockey sense. On the downside, he’s not very big.
Hockey’s Future: Effort player, small but pretty fast. Likes to shoot. Good AHL skillset, not NHL. Falls down a lot.
His shootout skills look elite to boot, with a 40% success rate (12/28) in the AHL.
Palushaj looks like a depth move for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and a possible first call up in case of injury.
Terms of Aaron Palushaj to #Flyers: 1-year, two-way deal for $575,000 in NHL and $225,000 in AHL.

A 2nd round draft pick in 2007, Aaron Palushaj was once regarded as an excellent prospect during his Montreal stint after being traded from St. Louis.
