Flyers sign Michael Parks to AHL deal

The Flyers’ 2010 5th round draft pick just finished his senior season at North Dakota.

Michael Parks (23) had 30 points (12 G, 18 A) in 2013-2014 and 32 points (12 G, 20 A) last year.

Parks played under Flyers coach Dave Hakstol, being named an NCAA (NCHC) 2nd Team All Star his junior year.

Scouting report from Hockey’s FutureParks is a small but stocky player that plays bigger than his size (6’0″, 190 lbs.). He has good speed, and a good compete level. Offensive upside is questionable, so his role may be as more of a checker.
