The Philadelphia Flyers have signed LW Radel Fazleev to an entry-level contract. The 6-1, 188 lb forward was the Flyers’ sixth-round selection (168th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Fazleev, 19, recently completed his second season with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL, recording 18 goals and 51 points in 71 games. He later added four goals and 14 points in 17 playoff games, helping the Hitmen reach the Eastern Conference Final.
Over two seasons with the Hitmen, Fazleev has tallied 23 goals and 76 points in 109 regular season games, while notching 21 points in 23 playoff games. He has played both seasons with defenseman Travis Sanheim, who was selected by the Flyers in the first round of the same draft.
Fazleev scored the 2014 Teddy Bear Toss goal against the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Scotibank Saddledome in December.
