Giroux, Voracek honored at Worlds

Following the conclusion of Canada’s 2-0 victory against the Czech Republic in the semi-finals, Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek were named players of the tournament for their respective teams.

Giroux, along with Brent Burns and Mike Smith, was named one of Canada’s players of the tournament. 

The Flyers captain, held pointless today, has two goals and six assists (8 PTS) in nine games so far during the World Championships. 

Voracek, along with Jaromir Jagr and Ondrej Pavelec, was named of the Czech’s players of the tournament.  

Jake the snake has three goals and seven assists (10 PTS) in nine games so far at Worlds.

Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier, and Canada face Russia in the gold medal game tomorrow (2:45 PM).

Jakub Voracek and the Czech Republic face the USA in the bronze medal game tomorrow (10:15 AM).
