Harvey and Charlie Giroux Win Best Dog at NHL Fan Choice Awards

While the official NHL Award winners won’t get announced until June 20th in Las Vegas, the NHL has released the final voting counts for the NHL Fan Choice Awards.

Harvey and Charlie Giroux, who are labradoodles belonging to Flyers’ captain Claude Giroux, won the Best Dog Award with a whopping 21,205 votes. Gustl, Anze Kopitar’s goldendoodle, came in second place with 13,371 votes. Ryan Johansen’s bulldogs (8656 votes) and Evander Kane’s Chihuahua (7473 votes) were also nominated.

There were a total of 500,000 votes counted for 10 different categories. The full list of winners can be found here.

It was a runaway victory for Harvey and Charlie Giroux.

Finally some recognition for the Philadelphia forward.
