Joel Farabee, Jay O’Brien and Noah Cates named to Team USA’s World Junior Showcase Roster

The Philadelphia Flyers will be well-represented at the World Junior Summer Showcase at the end of the month.

USA Hockey announced today the Team Blue and Team White rosters for the event that will take place at Sandman Centre in Kamloops, B.C., July 28-Aug. 4.

Flyers’ prospects Joel Farabee, Jay O’Brien and Noah Cates have been named to Team White’s roster.

Farabee was taken by the Flyers at 14th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft, while O’Brien was selected by Philadelphia with the 19th overall pick. Cates was taken by the Flyers in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

The tournament includes 11 games between Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States.

Flyers’ top offensive prospects Morgan Frost and Isaac Ratcliffe were previously named to Team Canada’s roster.

Mon., July 30 USA Blue vs. Sweden 4 p.m./7 p.m.
USA White vs. Finland 7 p.m./10 p.m.
Tues., July 31 Canada White vs. USA Blue 4 p.m./7 p.m.
Canada Red vs. USA White 7 p.m./10 p.m.
Thurs., Aug. 2 USA vs. Sweden 1 p.m./3 p.m.
Fri., Aug. 3 USA vs. Finland 1 p.m./3 p.m.
Sat., Aug. 4 Canada vs. USA 2 p.m./5 p.m.
