Kimmo Timonen might return to Flyers organization this offseason

Kimmo Timonen will contact Ron Hextall about potential jobs with the Flyers after the playoffs.

If he’s not coaching next season, maybe he’s involved in scouting or development.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning will go head to head in the 2015 Stanley Cup Final starting tomorrow, but Timonen will probably be watching from the pressbox.

After appearing in 31 straight games and registering zero points, Kimmo was a healthy scratch for Games 6 and 7 of the Western Conference Finals against Anaheim.

Kimmo Timonen wasn’t able to contribute in Chicago, but he netted the Flyers two 2nd round picks (2015, 2016) anyway.

If the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup, the team will most likely petition to get his name on it.
