Preview: Flyers @ Bruins (Game 68)

Updated: March 28, 2018 at 9:51 pm by Johan Gartner

Flyers (34-22-11, 79pts) @ Bruins (41-15-8, 90pts)

Flyers have entered a slump as of late, losing their last 4 games. Last nights loss versus the Penguins hurt even more than the others when the Flyers at one point had a 2-1 lead but in the end lost 5-2. Wayne Simmonds is back from injury and the Flyers could really use him to help with bottom 6 production which has been abysmal for most of the season. Alex Lyon is confirmed to start in goal for the Flyers tonight.

THREE STORYLINES TO WATCH

Last night the Flyers played a pretty good game but their defensive breakdowns and bad defending in general cost them the game yet again. They need to do a better job in the defensive end tonight or they will most likely leave Boston without a point.

Flyers penaltykill is at the bottom of the league and the Flyers took way too many dumb penalties last night. Cant afford to do that tonight against a high caliber Bruins team. Flyers also need to get their powerplay back on track.

Alex Lyon hasnt played since Mrazek joined the team, but tonight he is finally back in net. He needs to be ready to go from the start and possibly steal a point or two for the Flyers tonight.
