Flyers (32-19-10, 74pts) @ Senators (21-29-10, 52pts)

The Flyers really turned their season around after the 10-game losing streak. They are now one of the hottest teams in the league and they enter today’s game on a four-game winning streak after beating the Blue Jackets in a game where the Flyers didn’t really play well.

Thats a big difference this year — they find ways to win hockey games even when they are not playing their best hockey.

Today’s game against the Ottawa Senators is a must-win and they can’t afford to lose points in this one. The Senators have been one of the worst teams this year and they just traded one of their best players in Derick Brassard to the Penguins. The

Flyers cant lose focus because Ottawa still has some dangerous players on their team.

It’s not confirmed yet it Konecny is ready to play, but if he cant play, the lines will most likely look the same as they did last game with Raffl taking Konecny’s spot on the first line and Weal/Lindblom on the left wing of Nolan Patrick.

Giroux – Couturier – Raffl

Weal – Patrick – Voracek

Lindblom – Laughton – Leier

Provorov – Gostisbehere

MacDonald – Hägg

Sanheim – Gudas

Ottawa: Senators Line Combinations

Senators are a mess right now and the Flyers need to capitalize. But no matter how badly they’ve played this year they still have firepower in Stone, Duchene, Hoffman and last but definetly not least Erik Karlsson.

Hoffman – Duchene – Ryan

Smith – Pageau – Stone

Pääjärvi – Shore – Gaborik

Dzingel – Mccormick – Pyatt

Oduya – Karlsson

Borowiecki – Ceci

Harpur – Chabot

Nolan Patrick has been great lately and has scored in three straight games. He has also looked great on the powerplay in Simmonds absence. Look for him to continue his amazing form.

Claude Giroux should be considered as a nominee for the Hart trophy this year. The captain does it all, he is currently third in scoring in the NHL and he has 14 points in hist last eight games. The captain is a big part of why this team is where they are right now.

Petr Mrazek is playing his second game as a Flyer and he was great in his debut a few days ago. He made some key saves in key moments to keep the Blue Jackets lead down to one goal. He should get the start today so look for him to have a great game today.
