A rough night for the Philadelphia Flyers has gotten even worse.

The Flyers’ second overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Nolan Patrick, has left Tuesday’s game against Anaheim after suffering an injury in the second period.

The play came along the board when Patrick was hit by Ducks’ forward Chris Wagner. The way in which Patrick’s head bangs on the glass is scary to watch.

Patrick was holding his head after the hit and had to be helped off the ice by trainers.

It didn’t look like a bad hit, but just a very unfortunate result.

The Flyers did not immediately provide an update on Patrick’s condition aside from that he will not return to the game.
