Shayne Gostisbehere ready to go for 2015-2016

After a 2014-2015 campaign that never really got started, Shayne Gostisbehere is looking to bounce back this year.

Gostisbehere was a point per game player (5 GP, 5 A) in Lehigh Valley before suffering a torn ACL November 7th.

Ghost made his NHL debut two weeks beforehand, October 25th against the Red Wings, after injuries to Braydon Coburn and Andrew MacDonald the game before.

Following back to back wins with him in the lineup, Shayne was a healthy scratch for the Florida road trip and demoted afterwards.

  • 10/25/14 vs. DET (W): 12:27 TOI, 2:47 on PP, 1 S
  • 10/28/14 vs. LAK (W): 12:40 TOI, 1 S

Shayne Gostisbehere said at Development Camp today that he’s 100% healed and might have been able to play in the playoffs if the Phantoms made it.

Gostisbehere put on around 15 pounds as well, to better hold his own in professional hockey.

Ghost needs the AHL seasoning he missed out on last year, but I think it’s possible the Flyers could see him towards the stretch run if injuries from the blueline pile up.
