Shayne Gostisbehere is only 24-years-old and is already in the Guinness Book of World Records. There aren’t many people of the same age who can say the same thing.
The young Flyers’ blueliner set many records during his impressive 2015-16 rookie campaign, including setting the NHL record for the longest point streak (11 games) for a rookie defenseman.

Gostisbehere is recognized in the 2018 of the Guinness Book of World Records for his remarkable run that helped the Flyers make the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2016.
It began on Jan. 19 and lasted until February 23rd of 2016. Gostisbehere’s streak was the longest by an NHL defenseman in more than 20 years, since Chris Chelios had a 15-game streak for the Blackhawks in 1995.
This was the bullet that made history:
Quite the accomplishment for the youngster out of Union College.
