The veteran blue-liner has been one of the best in the AHL for the last few years and will stay in the organization for the time being.
Phantoms defenseman T.J. Brennan has put pen-to-paper on a new deal that will keep him in the Flyers organization for the foreseeable future. The 28-year-old leads all Phantoms defensemen in points this year in his second season on the team with 39 points in 48 games (4th among AHL defensemen) and his 12 goals have put him in a tie for second among AHL defensemen. Brennan lead all Phantoms in points with 60 last season. He is a two-time recipient of the Eddie Shore Award as the AHL’s best defenseman, three-time AHL first team all-star, and has played in each of the last four AHL All-Star games.
The move is likely an AHL only move for the time being, but is a good one for the Phantoms. Brennan has been the leader of the Phantoms defense for the bulk of this season and has been a huge part of them sitting at the top of the entire AHL at the moment.
