Flyers fans can breath a sigh of relief.
After leaving Tuesday’s game prematurely with an apparent foot injury, red-hot Flyers forward Travis Konecny was not at practice Wednesday morning. Taylor Leier filled in for Konecny alongside Couturier and Giroux on the first line, but GM Ron Hextall said after practice that TK is expected to be available for Thursday’s 7 p.m. puck drop vs. Columbus at the Wells Fargo Center.
The news comes as a huge relief to the Flyers who have already lost one top-six forward in Wayne Simmonds and have been battling the injury bug for the better part of the month of February. Konecny has been crucial to the Flyers success since the start of 2018, posting 21 points in 22 games this calendar year.
