This is not a sight any Philadelphia Flyer fan wants to see.
Sean Couturier suffered an apparent injury during Tuesday’s practice following a collision with teammate Radko Gudas. Couturier needed help getting off the ice by trainer Jim McCrossin and limped to the locker room.
Video of the incident has now surfaced courtesy of 6abc:
It just looks like an unfortunate accident, with both players participating in separate drills at the time. Judging by the way Couturier threw his stick, he could be feeling he did something serious.
The Flyers didn’t have any update on Couturier’s condition Tuesday. Dave Hakstol is expected to provide an update on Couturier around game time Wednesday.
Any type of injury to Couturier would be detrimental for the Flyers. The 25-year-old had a breakout year with 31 goals and 76 points in 82 games. He played a huge role in the Flyers’ lone playoff victory in Game 2, logging 27:15 of ice time and contributing a goal and an assist.
